While soaking up the winter sun on a chilly afternoon of January, a thought hit my mind. Want to know what? Well… it is how to be the new you as quick as over the weekend. We all look forward to the weekend because we are all engaged in working days and we can’t find time for ourselves. Be the new you is really important for us so that we can lead a good life. Now we all should think about what we have to do for this. Here is the weekend started and now it’s time to be the new you.

Here are a few simple practices you can do to hit the reset button and start fresh:

Connect With your Tribe

Spend your time with those who matter the most,! We professionals lag at this one though…. But on the weekend, it is important to give high time to our loved ones so that we can find happiness and bring happiness to others. Aim every weekend to give time to our parents, family, and friends, and do all the activities that will refresh you! These activities may include any outdoor activity with family, dining out with friends and family, or grabbing coffee with loved ones.
So, relax and recharge after a long week of work and be with those who matters.

Nourish your mind, body, and soul

So you reached your weekend? They are here for nourishing our inner well-being. Consider having breakfast while soaking winter sun is a special experience. Read a book, newspaper, or new blog after that. Be active while exercises like walking, jogging, trekking, or yoga on weekends can relax our bodies a lot. Above all, we need to reconnect with ourselves, listen to our inner voice, and recharge our soul.

Being Natural & Do Something You love

Think about spending time in nature. Already relaxed? I know! Staying close to the nature is very beneficial for our mental and physical health. So, plan to go somewhere outdoors, surrounded by greenery and mountains, and give yourself time to do something that will help us relax. Whether it’s reading, listening to music, or writing something that’s on our mind… I am doing it too!!!

But make sure to schedule some time for yourself over the weekend and do something you enjoy.

Learn Something New

Be crafty! Weekends are the perfect opportunity to invest in yourself and broaden your knowledge horizons. Engaging in activities like reading, conversing with intellectual individuals, spending time with mentors, and staying up-to-date on current affairs can refresh your mind and unlock new ways of thinking.
Moreover, in our fast-paced tech-driven world, understanding and adapting to the latest applications and advancements is crucial for personal growth. Make it a priority to learn something new every weekend and keep yourself updated with the ever-evolving landscape of the world.

Community First

Be kind to yourself and others as well. Indulge yourself in your community service. This gesture within ourselves that we must do something good for people is a great way to humble us. Weekend is the best time when you take time out to think about what new gestures you can adapt in your daily routine and practice for the well-being of others. These are some little gestures that have a big impact, such as greeting people, smiling, complimenting someone, helping neighbors, helping people financially or physically, and forgiving. We can do a lot of things that can make us feel fresh by giving happiness to others. I will definitely write a separate detailed blog on this. Please ensure to be kind to yourselves and others.

Remember, change takes time and effort. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results overnight. Just keep taking small steps in the right direction, and eventually, you’ll reach your goals.
